..to the Trestle House, your home away from home!

The Trestle House is situated about 200 yards away from the base area of the Winter Park Ski resort. Ours is an end unit facing south and has great mountain views. (see our picture album)

Between our unit and the Winter Park base area, is the rail line that links the Winter Park Ski area to Denver. This rail line stood on a wooden train trestle which was replaced 100 years ago by an earthen mound. The down-hill side of this mound is a large open space which sits to the south of our place and looks out onto the ski mountain above it. The unit itself is very comfortable, bright, sunny and warm.The layout and furnishings make Trestle house a very inviting spot to hang out in--either before, or after making some turns on the mountainside, or after finding some peace and quiet in the backcountry.

The floor plan is perfect for families. Upstairs is the main living area as as well as the Master Bedroom. The kitchen, dining and living area are one large room which is perfect for bringing everyone together. The dining room table can seat eight with overflow seating at the counter for four additional people.

The two bedrooms & two baths are downstairs. One bedroom has a queen-sized bed and the other bedroom is the "bunk room". It has one set of twin bunks and another full/twin combo bunkbed. The full-sized bed converts to a couch for TV watching and hanging out. Thus allowing the kids to be downstairs while the adults are upstairs.
